A kompetencia fogalmának értelmezése - Vass Vilmos
A tanulmány a kompetencia fogalmának gazdagodását, változásait igyekszik a teljesség igénye nélkül áttekinteni, különös tekintettel a kommunikáció, az együttműködés és a problémamegoldás területére. Elemzi a három kereszttantervi kompetencia megjelenését a Nemzeti alaptanterv az anyanyelv és irodalom és a matematika műveltségterület (tantárgy)fejlesztési feladataiban, valamint a kétszintű érettségi vizsga követelményrendszerében. A PISA 2003 problémamegoldással kapcsolatos eredményeinek a tükrében a fejlesztés gyakorlati lehetőségeit is felvázolja.

A kötet tartalmazza egyrészt a kulcskompetenciák kiválasztására irányuló nemzetközi kezdeményezések legfontosabb dokumentumait, másrészt válogatást ad a kompetencia kérédésével foglalkozó hazai szakirodalomból.
