In 2010 Tempus Public Foundation is implementing an international project: School Leadership for Effective Learning with the support of the European Commission with the participation of four other countries from the Central-European Region: Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia in the framework of the Central European Cooperation for Education (CECE). 

The aim of the initiative is to develop a competency framework for school leaders in order to improve the quality of school leadership in the given countries. Eventually, the framework will be adapted to the educational circumstances of the given countries.

Prior to the project Tempus Public Foundation coordinated another initiative: The Role of School Leadership in Creating a Learning Environment that is Conducive to Effective Learning with Special Regard to the Improvement of the Quality of Teacher Activity with the same countries implemented in 2008-2009 based on the thematic report of OECD (Leadership for Learning). The results were summarized in a synthesis report based on country reports from each participating country focusing on school leadership.
